Apple Teases Mac Pro in New Movie Theater Ads

It's a bit weirder, comments iOS and Mac developer Troy Gaul , to see an advertisement for the next iteration in Apple's Mac Pro line to accompany a Percy Jackson film. Wrong audience, perhaps? Unless little Jimmy is planning to save his allowance for the next 10 years to pick up what's likely to be a fairly pricy Intel Xeon E5-based system. "Of all devices for Apple to show before a movie... the Mac Pro? Really," tweeted 9to5Mac editor Scott Buscemi . That's Apple's latest marketing effort marketing tease, really for the to-be-released redesign of its Mac Pro. The company is slapping teasers for the cylindrical computer as part of a movie theater advertising push, publishing the fact that the updated system is expected to arrive in Kim Kardashian Cristiano Ronaldo fall of this year.
Source: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2423245,00.asp

As it happens, Adam is kind of like a young Goddard both are bootstrap types, real scrappers, which Goddard will take time to overstate in one of their heart to hearts. Both men suffered painful losses Goddard lost a son and Adam lost his mother. Much of the male bonding occurs in Goddard's richly appointed library, all dark woods and weathered leather. PHOTOS: Summer Sneaks 2013 I'm not going to get into the acting, because there's not much of it, frankly. No one is embarrassingly bad; no one is exceptionally good. Better to remember the actors for better thrillers, Ford in "Witness," Oldham in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," Hemsworth in "The Hunger Games." There are few surprises despite lots of twists and turns as Adam tries to figure a way to escape with his life.
Source: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/movies/moviesnow/la-et-mn-paranoia-review,0,2168914.story

Movie review: 'Kick-Ass 2' aims high but falls short

Steve Jobs didnt hesitate to take risks. If he wanted something, he would ask, even at a young age. When Jobs was twelve years old he called up HP co-founder Bill Hewlett and asked for spare parts. Hewlett gave Jobs the parts and a summer job. Youve got to be willing to crash and burn. If youre afraid of failing, you wont get very far, Jobs once said. Most people never pick up the phone and call.
Source: http://www.forbes.com/sites/carminegallo/2013/08/16/10-powerful-quotes-from-the-steve-jobs-movie-and-what-they-teach-us-about-leadership/

Steve Jobs movie slammed by critics — and Woz

The comic "Kick-Ass 2" is a lean, unpleasant piece of work, with a slight, straightforward tale of blood and revenge, so Jeff Wadlow, in taking over duties as writer-director from Matthew Vaughn, had to expand on the story. High schooler Dave Lizewski ( Aaron Taylor-Johnson ) is desperate to get back in action as his alter-ego Kick-Ass, while the now teenage Mindy Macready (Chloe Grace Moretz) is struggling to maintain a promise that she no longer adopt the persona of Hit-Girl. Chris D'Amico ( Christopher Mintz-Plasse ) is leaving behind his identity as superhero Red Mist to assume the mantle of the world's images of Kim Kardashian first super-villain, with a new name unprintable here. As in the first film, Moretz and her character of Hit-Girl largely overwhelm the rest of the film. Wadlow's main addition to the story is expanding the attention given to the adventures of http://felipedock.soup.io/post/335261672/Kim-Kardashian-and-Kanye-West-step-out Mindy in the land of other young women, grappling with other people's ideas of normal. Among the film's best moments is when young Mindy, trying to fit in, sees a boy-band video for the first time, unleashing a wave of hormonal responses that Moretz captures perfectly.
Source: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/movies/moviesnow/la-et-mn-kick-ass-2-20130815,0,7182428.story

Movie poster artist Drew Struzan gets the doc treatment

Judging by the reviews for Jobs, there still may be plenty of room for another film treatment. As of Friday morning, Jobs is carrying a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 26% meaning about three quarters of the reviewers tabulated have given the flick a Thumbs Down. The RT rating among so-called top critics was even lower at 20%. The movie also didnt fare well with the affable Steve Wozniak, who was portrayed in the film by Josh Gad of The Book of Mormon fame. In a blog posting on Gizmodo , Wozniak called the acting good and said he was attentive and entertained but not greatly enough to recommend the movie. And he denied the claim that hes criticizing this movie because he is serving as a paid consultant on the Steve Jobs project. I felt bad for many people I know well who were portrayed wrongly in their interactions with Jobs and the company.
Source: http://blogs.marketwatch.com/thetell/2013/08/16/steve-jobs-movie-slammed-by-critics-and-woz/
